Valentines Picture Party!

FOR FREE!!!!

A picture party is something I saw a few years ago and thought it was a great idea. I have held quite a few and have had great success with them! So bascially all it is a mini session, 15 minutes or so. My location of choice and the clients come to me. You would be surprised with how many shots you can get in 15 minutes! So I thought I would offer a party for free - so my name gets out there. Word of mouth helps so much!

Then after the picture party, I post the pictures to an online store where you can order right to your house! Of course there is no purchase necessary, but please do look as I want you to check out my work. There will be a password provided on my blog to view the pictures. My lab does amazing work and has quick turnaround time!

If you would rather purchase a CD of all the proofs, you can opt for that as well. The cost is $25. But if you want to book a regular session for later in the year, say when it warms up a bit, you can get a CD for free! All my regular sessions include a CD of proofs where you have the copyright privelage to print up to and 8x10.

Wow it has been a loooooong time since I have posted something! I guess that is what happens when you move across the country! Well not really that far, but from Missouri to Utah! We have been here now for almost 8 months now! Can't believe it! So far this weather hasn't been nearly as bad as I was fearing, but I hear the winter is being nice to me. Well thought if I can handle being out long enough to take my dog for a walk I could handle being out long enough to take some pictures! haha! So here it goes!

Well as you can tell, I've been super busy lately and haven't posted a thing. We are leaving Granbury this Monday - March 1st. So only 2 days left here in Granbury! We are going to miss it here so much, but look forward to being close to family in Missouri. My family and I have met so many wonderful people here, and we will be sad to go! We actually found out some crazy news that my husband is getting relocated with his company. We are moving to Missouri sometime in late February! It has been pretty hetic between finishing up all the Christmas orders, celebrating the holidays, and now some pretty big news on top! My family and I are very excited, since we will be moving closer to family, but I will miss all of you! All of you is what got my business going and kept it growing!

I still have a lot of Christmas cards and pictures to post, and will do those soon.... Just let me know if anyone needs anything or one last session before I leave! I will miss Granbury and all the wonderful people I have met!

What a week! We got home Monday evening from our Missouri Thanksgiving vacation, and 3 out of the 4 of us were sick! Ugh! So on top of sickness, I'm working on my 5th Christmas card of the week! Busy girl here, but at least we are all feeling better....

I am having some Christmas Deadlines this year so I can enjoy my favorite time of year! They are as follows

Deadline for Sessions = December 6th

Deadline for orders = December 15th

This will allow me to make sure you get your prints back in time for those awesome personal gifts. I also normally have a 2 week turnaround time, but will be making an exception for those getting pictures the week before the 6th. If you are in a bind and just absolutely need something outside these deadlines, there will be a 50% markup fee....

Whoo hoo we made it through another school year! :) I know most of you have been going around crazy the last few weeks, so I'm welcoming the summer with a big smile! And a long trip! I've been busy with shoots, designing, packing, playing, and whatever else might have been thrown my way. So we leave June 3rd - 12th for a much needed resting vacation to Missouri. Crisis Pregnacy Center Live Auction

Back in December the Brazos Pregnany Center held a Live Auction and Show! I have been volunteering some of my services to the center, and taking pictures at the auction was one of them! It is a great place and they do many great things for our community. The auction had a great turnout and had a huge success! I myself was a teenage mother, and want to give something back to these ladies that are going through similar situations. I am volunteering to take maternity or baby sessions of the ladies taking a parenting class through the clinic. I'm excited to start and meet these beautiful women and their adorable babies! :)

Cowtown Half Marathon....

Well I did it! Yesterday morning was the challenge of my half marathon in downtown Ft. Worth! And today I'm here, so I guess I made it! I actually got a time better than I hoped, and came away saying I would do another one sometime. So that was good! My husband (middle) did the full! And my brother in law did the half with me. We all did pretty well, but a little sore today! :) Along the way I wished there was some way of bringing my camera along, as there were many cool shots! But had to just focus on breathing and getting through! :)

A big project that I had this month was to design and create animals for Stonewater Church. They have an awesome kids ministry that is broke down into age groups, who each has their own mascot. So I really got to work on my Illustrator skills to create from scratch these fun loving creatures! Then we made signs to hang around to designate each area. It was a fun project and they loved their little critters!

OK - I am still alive! Ever since we have been home from vaction, I have still been in relax mode and enjoying my family! But I'm getting back into reality, and starting to get back into regular routine! I've been working on a church project the past week that has a deadline coming up quickly, then I'll be able to post some new things and update my website!

I've booked a few summer weddings the past few weeks, and of course the regular shoots too! I'm looking forward to starting 2009 off right and taking many photos in the year to come!

Other things that I've been doing since we've been home is I started coaching my daughters basketball team! Fun! Also training to do the Cowtown Half Marathon at the end of February! So keeping active!

I'm looking for any and all JUNIORS in High Schools to contact me to be a spokes model and get some great deals! So if any one knows anyone, pass along the word! I'll be posting more and more now that I'm in full working mode again - well for the most part! :)

Grandkids Galore!

Took pictures of 9 grandchildren before Thanksgiving Break! Such cuties! Their grandparents will be so happy on Christmas to see all these smiling faces! :) Also took inviduals of each of the kids! Always remember pictures make great gifts all year long!!!

Took pictures of this mom and her son a few weeks ago at the city park! They were so much fun! We just walked and played and had a lot of opportunities for some great shots! Nothing sweeter than the love you see between a mom and her children!

Wow what a busy few weeks I've had! I designed 3 cards just this Saturday, made tons of orders, and even had a few photo shoots! Whew! Now I have just enough time to get ready for Christmas! :) I really enjoyed making everyone's cards this year and wanted to say THANKS! Thanks for letting me share in your holiday memories!
